Welcome to my blog! You may be wondering what my site is about, so let me tell you. First of all, I would like nothing more than to tell others about having faith in Jesus Christ and helping to encourage other believers.

Also I enjoy helping others start and grow homebased businesses. Therefore, I decided to create a site where I can not only share insights on living for the Lord, but also provide  content on marketing online, finances, health, and more.

At first, I was going to create two seperate blogs. One that was focuse on faith, and the other focused on marketing online. After some consideration, I decided to simply create a site where I can talk about whatever I wanted. So, here we are!

My Story

In 1993, I gave my life to the Lord and served as a deacon a few years later.  I also taught the adult Sunday school class and was ordained as a minister a couple of years later. In the early 2000’s, I also served as an Assistant Pastor for several years.

My lovely wife Mechelle and I have raised four beautiful daughters and we are extremely thankful for how God has blessed our family. My wife has had some health issues that could have turned out for the worst, but God has delivered her out of each situation and she is now doing well.

Life is filled with ups and downs, scares, tests, trials, and tribulations. But God never left us alone to fend for ourselves and I thank God for His Grace and Mercy. Living my life without Him is something I cannot imagine. For that reason, how can I not tell others about the goodness of God? I’m grateful to be able to build a business from home while also sharing my faith.

Employee Vs. Entrepreneur

I’ve heard may people say that having a job is bad. It’s called “Just Over Broke” by many in the online space. My thoughts on having a job go like this. Working a job allowed me to take care of my family. I was able to provide for them, feed them, cloth them, you know what I mean.

Also, having a job allowed me to invest in my business. It’s a difficult thing to start a business and take care of your family without having a source of income. Bills still need to be paid while you figure out how to earn income from business endeavors.

The way I see it, your job is a business and your employer is your customer. Your employer has customers that purchase a product or service from them and you as the employee, hire out your time to help the job meet the needs of its customers. So you only have one customer, your employer, which more likely than not, consumes the majority of your time. And, if you wanted to earn more income, you would have to serve more customers.

The major problem with a job is that you are selling your time and employees can’t scale their income because of the limited amount of time in a day. So the solution is to sell something other than your time in order to serve more customers.

What separates employees from entrepreneurs is simply a mindset. In my mind, both have something to sell, however, entrepreneurs sell to more than one customer. If given the choice of selling my time to one employer working 40+ hours per week or selling a product or service to multiple customers for $1,000 a day, I would rather choose the latter. It starts with earning enough income from your business to replace your job, then focus on scaling your business even more.

How Did I Get Into Network Marketing

The way I got started in network marketing is the same as most people. A family member introduced my wife and I to a company and we really liked the products and business opportunity. However, as many who get involved in MLM experience, we found it difficult to recruit representatives into our organization so we ended up quitting MLM not long afterwards.

A few years passed and I was introduced to another opportunity. This time around, I decided not to market the the company, but I did tell others about the products. Those that used the products started getting amazing results and people wanted to join the business opportunity. I did see a small amout of success, but unfortunately, did not learn the skills to grow the business into anything substantial.

The 3 Keys To Overcoming Failure

Over time, I joined other network marketing opportunities, but would always end up getting little or no results. That’s until I realized three things that kept my from having success.

Here are 3 things I discovered that helps overcome failure:

1. You have to put the time in – I would start something new, half heartly work on it from time to time, and not get any results. The best way I can describe it is like driving around in circles instead of having a destination to drive towards. I spent time and or resources going in circles, but went nowhere.

2. You have to know what you are doing – Just about everything in life has a recipe, like cooking. You can have the oven, all the ingredients, but lack the proportions, and the results can be disappointing. Try baking a cake by throwing in some flour, eggs, oil, water, and sugar into a bowl without a tried and try recipe and you’re going get a cake that none wants a second bite. The best way to learn a new skill is to have someone that knows how to do it well (a mentor) teach you. You can learn on your own, but it will take lots of trial and error if everything is brand new to you.

3. You have to wait for the harvest – It is so easy to start something new and expect immediate results, but it’s important to give yourself time to get the best results. If you’re putting the time in and you know what you’re doing, then things are going to work for you. Just keep following the recipe. Don’t plant a seed and expect fruit in a week. Give it time to grow and be ready for harvest.

What I’m Doing Now

Today, I focus on helping others start and grow homebased businesses of their own while also living a healthy life. I love the ability to work from home and have control over my income without having to create any products or services. Just by recommending the products or services of others allow me to generate income without dealing with the traditional issues that come with owning a business. I don’t have to bother with employees, customer service, refunds, and such.

If you have a desire to either be healthier, or earn an income from home, I invite you to join my Facebook group. Nothing for sale inside, only a community of like-minded people that are taking action to be healthier and wealthier.

Access the group here:

That’s about it…

I hope that you will find something in my content that that will help take you to the next level, even if in a small way. Feel free to share your comments and suggestions for content with me. Thank you again for stopping by and may you be blessed in all you do.
